Who can apply
['Applicants must reside in Alaska and meet the applicable income, resource and individual eligibility conditions. DPA determines the food household and checks exceptions.', 'Household composition, student status, immigration status and work rules can affect eligibility. The state has updated notices and temporary Alaska exemptions; use the current guidance rather than older age or work-rule summaries.']What help is available
Approved households receive food benefits on Quest. Alaska has special rural benefit rules and limited hunting or fishing subsistence-supply provisions. Ask DPA whether these apply to your location and household.
Documents to prepare
Gather income records, household details and records of shelter, utilities and other expenses you want DPA to consider. Keep proof of any circumstance supporting an exception. Ask the worker which records are required for your case.
