Who can apply
Low-cost coverage is for eligible Florida children under 19 who meet residency, financial and status requirements. Working parents can apply; employment alone does not settle a child’s eligibility.
What help is available
KidCare includes Medicaid for Children, MediKids, Florida Healthy Kids and Children’s Medical Services coverage. Subsidized and full-pay options differ, so review the placement and cost notice.
Documents to prepare
- Prepare each child’s date of birth and household information.
- Have household earnings and current insurance details available.
- Use KidCare’s requirements page for the accepted citizenship and identity records relevant to the child.
