Who can apply
The state describes adults aged 18–64 without minor dependents who are temporarily disabled, do not qualify for Social Security and do not qualify under a federal assistance category. A DHS medical board must certify inability to undertake substantial employment of at least 30 hours weekly for at least 60 days. Asset rules also apply.
What help is available
GA helps with essentials such as food, clothing and shelter. State funding is limited, and the benefit amount can change during the year.
