Who can apply
The organization helps qualifying low- and moderate-income Kansans. Screening considers household finances, the legal problem and available services; the intake team decides what help can be offered.
What help is available
Services include civil issues such as housing, benefits, employment and family matters. Self-help forms and referrals are also available.
Documents to prepare
Prepare notices, court dates, the opposing party’s name, household income and relevant expenses. Keep copies of everything already filed.
How to get started
Call 316-267-3975, Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m. The main Get Help page lists online intake from Monday 8 a.m. through Thursday 4:30 p.m.; check the online application’s current status.
Complete follow-up screening. Watch for a call or email from intake and explain urgent deadlines promptly.
After applying
Confirm whether advice, representation or a referral is offered. Contacting intake does not change a court deadline. Ask who will file any required response.
