Who can apply
['Eligibility depends on the household’s income, expenses and other program rules. People who buy and prepare meals together generally apply as a household.', 'Some relatives must be included together even when they keep meals separate, including spouses and parents living with children age 21 or younger.']What help is available
Approved households receive food benefits on EBT. The notice gives the amount and certification period. Ask about expedited processing if money and food are running very low.
Documents to prepare
Have recent income records, rent or mortgage information and utility expenses ready. Older adults and people with disabilities should ask about allowable medical expenses. Submit the checklist DCBS provides rather than relying on an old income chart.

What if I cannot obtain a requested document?
