How to get started
Start intake
Use LSND’s application link. Phone intake is Monday–Thursday, 9 a.m.–3 p.m. Central.
Use the appropriate number
Applicants under 60 can call 800-634-5263; people 60 or older can call 866-621-9886.
Explain the issue
Identify the other parties and provide requested papers. Ask what to do before any approaching court date.
After applying
Keep copies of correspondence and clarify whether a lawyer has agreed to represent you. An application alone does not establish representation.
