Who can apply
FloridaCommerce reviews past wages, the circumstances of job loss and continuing eligibility. Being out of work is not itself an approval; ability and availability for work are assessed.
What help is available
Approved claimants receive temporary benefit payments. A wage or monetary determination is only one part of the claim review.
Documents to prepare
- Government-issued identification and Social Security number.
- Employer names, contact details, dates worked, earnings and separation reasons for the past 18 months.
- Applicable military, federal-employment or work-authorization records.
