Who can apply
CDLE reviews recent wages and the reason work ended or hours were reduced. Ongoing eligibility also matters. A wage-screening threshold alone does not guarantee benefits.
What help is available
A approved claim provides temporary payments while you meet the program’s conditions. The amount and duration are determined from your claim.
Documents to prepare
- Employer names, addresses, employment dates and pay information for the past 18 months.
- Pay stubs and information about how work ended.
- Identity documents needed for ID.me and any records CDLE requests.
How to get started
Start or reopen the claim
Use the MyUI+ link on CDLE’s Start a Claim page. Returning claimants should use their existing account.
Verify identity
Complete each ID.me request CDLE sends; the state may request verification more than once.
Handle required tasks
Check the claim tracker, upload requested documents and follow the claimant guide for weekly payment and work-search responsibilities.
After applying
Save upload confirmations and check determinations. If the system reports an unfamiliar existing account, contact CDLE rather than creating repeated new accounts.

Common questions
I claimed before. Do I create a new account?
CDLE says claimants who filed since 2015 are returning claimants; use the registration instructions for the existing account.
Why am I asked to verify identity again?
CDLE says it may require repeated ID.me verification for claim actions.
How do I send additional records?
Use MyUI+ and the issue identified in your claim tracker, following CDLE’s upload instructions.
What if an account exists that I did not create?
Contact CDLE customer support at 303-318-9000 or 800-388-5515.
