Who can apply
The Department of Labor assesses recent wages, job separation and ongoing eligibility. Continue to follow work-search and earnings-reporting instructions for the claim.
What help is available
Qualifying claims receive temporary unemployment payments. An account or submitted application is not an approval.
Documents to prepare
- Employment dates, employer details and wage records.
- The reason work ended or hours changed.
- Identity and payment information requested by ReEmployCT.
How to get started
Start the correct claim action
Use the DOL unemployment page to reach ReEmployCT. Old-system users need a ReEmployCT account.
File weekly certifications
For an active continuous claim, choose Weekly Certification in Quick Links. Report wages when earned, following the state instructions.
Get help through the contact center
Use DOL’s callback scheduler or online case option for account and filing problems. Check claim messages for requests.
After applying
Save claim confirmations and read determinations. Weekly certification is required separately from starting a claim.
