Who can apply
Job Service reviews covered earnings and the reason work ended or hours decreased. Ongoing eligibility includes being able and available for work and meeting assigned work-search requirements.
What help is available
Approved benefits provide temporary payments for eligible weeks. An initial application alone does not request every weekly payment.
Documents to prepare
- Identity and employment information.
- Employer contacts, work dates and separation details.
- Weekly earnings and job-search records.
How to get started
File the initial claim
Use Job Service’s current filing instructions to reach UI ICE.
Monitor claim tasks
Check My To-Do List and respond to verification or eligibility requests.
Certify weekly
Submit each weekly request through UI ICE or the agency’s automated telephone route.
After applying
Report earnings and availability accurately. If you miss filing, contact Job Service about reopening and the affected weeks rather than assuming the account remains active.
