Who can apply
Eligibility depends on county, household size and income, or enrollment in specified assistance programs. Renters need the owner’s permission. Manufactured homes can be served; RVs cannot.
What help is available
An energy audit guides work such as insulation, air sealing or heating improvements. Approval does not guarantee every listed measure, and a waiting list may apply.
Documents to prepare
- Household size and income records or current qualifying-benefit evidence.
- Address, ownership or rental information.
- Owner’s permission for a rental and any information on earlier weatherization.
How to get started
Find the county provider
Use the map and provider list on the Colorado Energy Office WAP page.
Submit an application
Use the linked online application or ask the provider for a mailed paper form. Confirm which records it requires.
Arrange the audit and work
If approved, the provider schedules an energy audit, appropriate improvements and a quality inspection.
After applying
Ask about the queue before relying on an installation date. This is home improvement assistance, not payment of an overdue utility bill.
