Who can apply
Homeowners and renters must meet financial and property conditions. The home must be occupied and suitable for the work; homes undergoing remodeling, in foreclosure or for sale do not qualify under the listed conditions.
What help is available
An audit determines appropriate efficiency measures. Weatherization is not general rehabilitation, and no individual upgrade is guaranteed.
Documents to prepare
- Household income evidence.
- Homeownership evidence or landlord permission.
- Utility-company information and recent gas and electric bills.
